General Information

The inaugural Glasgow River Rat Race took place on 21 August 2011 on Clydeside, in the area of the SECC.

The Rat Race is a 10 kilometre run with a random selection of additional obstacles thrown in for good measure. Most of the obstacles were pretty straightforward, such as the steps, bouncy castle wall, ropes, cargo nets and so on. However, as you will see shortly, the most interesting obstacle was a 6.1 metre walk the plank from the Glenlee into the Clyde - certainly seemed a long way down!!
