With all events of this type, there is a requirement for a thorough briefing on the safety aspects of the course. All competitors have to attend this briefing before starting the race. For the Commando Challenge, most emphasis is placed on telling competitors about the obstacles in the endurance course including the tunnels with names like the "Smartie Tube" and the dreaded "Sheep Dip"! Looks of horror are commonplace at this time!
