In an almost complete state, Jamie's log cabin which sits at the bottom of the garden, has only taken a mere 15 years to get to this stage. Jamie has built the cabin, including the concrete base, frame and log cladding from scratch. Over the years it has taken to build, Jamie has had help from a number of friends and family members but much of the work was done alone. The cabin now only needs a few finishing touches before it can be declared finished at last!
In this picture you can also see the back of the barbeque area which Jamie and his wife Shauna constructed from old sandstone slabs which had been reclaimed from the front garden soon after moving in to the house in 1990. On the right of the picture you can see the A-frame support for the flying fox that Jamie made some years ago.
