The race has just begun but there's still a very long way to go. Jamie is being guided by his friend from the Army, Roraigh Ainslie. Jamie and Roraigh served in the Royal Engineers together after joining in 1982. The guiding technique is very 'high-tech' - a short length of knotted rope nicknamed McSporran
