Testimonials
A selection of comments from individuals who have worked with MYTIC, is given below:
- Veronica Whymant, Glasgow College of Physicians and Surgeons: "I have used several trainers over the years who were meant to teach me how to operate a specific piece equipment or use some software and I am pleased to say that Jamie has been one of the best. He is conscientious in checking beforehand what you really want to get out of the training, not just what he wants to teach you, and will ensure that he has refreshed his memory and skills in that particular use of JAWS. If he comes across something in the session to which he doesn't know the answer, he will look it up afterwards and e-mail you the solution. Above all, it is not just a training session that ends after the alloted period, for he will go home and send you all sorts of useful crib sheets and shortcuts to use as reference afterwards. A very dedicated and professional person who wants the best for his client - highly recommended!
- Volunteer after attending the Breast Cancer Care conference: Jamie was a fantastic inspiration to everyone. Thank you for inviting him to the conference.
- Gary Russell, University of the West of Scotland: Jamie came in to teach me how to use the Milestone voice recorder and MP3. The training was very relaxed and informative. I also picked up a couple of new keyboard short cuts for JAWS. Jamie is extremely knowledgeable on digital technology and has no problem passing on that knowledge even out with the allotted training time.
- Katie Wilkie, Senior Software Engineer, Sword Ciboodle: We engaged Jamie's services to help our software developers understand more about JAWS and JAWS users. His relaxed and friendly training style ensured the training and subsequent consultancy was both informative and enjoyable. I would happily recommend Jamie's training and consultancy services to other developers looking to understand JAWS better.
- George MacMillan: I have found Jamie Cuthbertson's advice invaluable. Plenty of people know about computers; but Jamie has three inestimable assets: a. Specialist knowledge of how to operate Jaws softwear by using key strokes (a rare accomplishment, I have found); b. Outstanding clarity and simplicity in his explanations, and c. Unlimited patience and generosity with his time. Don't let him under-sell himself.
- Judy Hutton: Jamie, I could not recommend you more and was staggered by your mastery of all things Computer and Jaws.
- Claire Williams, Visibility: Jamie's knowledge and experience of using JAWS makes him an ideal trainer, the session was perfectly tailored to my requirements, educational, enjoyable and informative.
- Jim McKay, Visual Voices: Jamie is a sympathetic teacher who understands the problems that blind people face. In training the golden rule is 'know your audience' and Jamie certainly knows his audience.
- Rosemary McCormack, Visual Voices: Jamie is a good teacher who takes trouble to customise his lessons for different requirements. He tries hard to change his teaching for different needs and he manages it with great success.
- Audrey Ward, Visibility: I recently completed four day Jaws training with Jamie Cuthbertson which have been very beneficial to my job. Jamie tailored each session to suit my needs and learning style, he allowed days in between to give me a chance to practice which suited my busy schedule. I found Jamie to be an excellent tutor and would recommend him to anyone wishing to master Jaws.
- Alison Scott, Motherwell College: I personally thought the DAISY training was one of the best training sessions organised for us through Motherwell College. Its interactive, highly practical nature was an invaluable experience and probably the best way to get to grips with DAISY technology. Your training materials, handouts and exercises are a useful lasting tool. All in all a very worthwhile, well planned and delivered experience.
- Jean Ramage, Motherwell College: Just a wee note to say thank you for your support on the Daisy Training. I really enjoyed it. I am trying to get as much practice when I can - don't want to loose what I have learnt from you. The Training was very enjoyable and worthwhile. I know that if I have a problem I can always email you for advice - this also is much appreciated.
